what's included - 3 x 1-hour sessions: below is a general outline to optimize your results however each session is fully customized to your body's current needs and how it responds. this flexible outline allows us to truly tailor our time together to your specific situation, ensuring you get exactly what you need when you need it and that’s what makes this bundle bespoke. at the end of each session you can expect to take home 2-3 subtle yet powerful shifts in your movement patterns that collectively lead to significant improvements in how you feel and function in everyday life. session 1: posture & breath foundations we'll start our time together by doing a comprehensive posture assessment to identify your current movement patterns and areas of tension. I’ll look at how you stand, walk, bend, reach and sleep. we'll then look at how you are breathing getting insight into what kind of breathing pattern you use, what muscles are doing the work and if you’re breath is supporting or limiting your nervous system + movements. this crucial first session helps us understand *why* you might be experiencing discomfort, giving us a clear roadmap for our work together. session 2: daily movement refinement building on our initial work, this second session layers a little more onto using the breath as a tool to release tension and increase easeful movement. we'll also continue to refine your functional mobility with specifically targeted movements that retrain the way your brain and body communicate with each other. we'll dive into your most important daily tasks like lifting, sitting, or walking and explore subtle shifts you can implement to move more in alignment. the goal is to use the movements you're already making to retrain more nourishing movement patterns, helping you feel better in your everyday life. session 3: mobility & myofascial release in our third session together, we'll continue to refine your functional mobility patterns, solidifying the new ways your body can move with less pain. with your permission, I’ll incorporate express myofascial release, applying gentle, sustained pressure to target specific areas of tightness in your connective tissue, helping to unwind restrictions and restore natural movement.

  • Where are you located?
    I currently offer my bespoke bodywork sessions at the local yoga studio in town. 124 N. Main Street, Brooklyn, Michigan 49230 I also offer at home sessions with an additional charge for travel based on your location.
  • Can I do a session in my home?
    Yes, if I have worked with you before I will travel to your home to offer a bespoke bodywork session. There is a $20 travel charge if you live within 15 minutes of the studio [124 N. Main Street] and the charge increases if you live farther. To book an at home session, message me directly after booking your session to confirm the new session location.
  • Can I use HSA health savings account, for bespoke bodywork sessions?
    Yes, because I am a registered and licensed occupational therapist in the state of Michigan you can use your HSA for sessions.
  • Do you take insurance?
    No, sorry I do not take/process insurance for any of my offerings however you can use your HSA, health savings account, card if this is helpful.
  • How is myofascial release different than a massage?
    Good question, I get this a lot so because both techniques are great ways to release built up stress, both will get your blood flowing +both can induce a deep full body relaxation buzz. But there are few specific differences so let's untangle the knots between myofascial release [MFR] and massage. A massage focuses on the muscles typically using bigger, broader gliding strokes. MFR focuses on the fascia webbing that is home to the muscles, nerves, blood vessels + lymph so the pressure is much lighter and doesn't use as big, sweeping motions as massage. The idea for MFR is to focus on specific areas of restriction using sustained pressure that patiently waits for the tissue to "unwind" or release. A massage generally uses oils or lotions to allow for smooth, gliding strokes across your muscles. MFR uses no oils or lotions to have better 'grip' in stretching the fascia surrounding the muscles, organs and internal structures of the body. Both are amazing for the body + massage therapist can be trained to do myofascial release, but the key take away is the focus is different for each, so myofascial release is not just a fancy massage.
  • Does myofascial release hurt?
    nope. I use a very light, gentle and sustained pressure to pull or stretch the fascia in order to get a release. the name of the game is patience so I focus on areas of tension for 5-15 minutes before moving to another part of the body. I will remind you at the beginning of our session that you are in full control of our time together. if there ever is a time you feel discomfort for any reason all you have to do is give a little wave or tell me to hold on and we will adjust to suit your comfort level.
  • What can I expect at my first session?
    for 95% of the time you will be laying on the massage table and I will be using light, sustained pressure to stretch, release + decompress your fascia. before you get comfy on the table we will spend a few minutes looking at how your body is positioned based on how your fascia is pulling. this will help me identify areas of your body to prioritize during our time together. from there you'll get as undressed as you feel comfortable with and relax on the massage table under sheets + blankets. most everyone shares experiencing a full body relaxation at minimum. some share a light tingly sensation or feeling light and floaty. there can also be a deeper release of physical pain, such as a painful shoulder no longer hurting as much or an emotional letting go where stressors and uncomfortable feelings start to dissipate. each MFR session brings a different experience. your main job during the fascia release will to be as mentally open as possible to listening to what your body is saying + staying curious to what you experience. things to note: I’ll be placing my hands directly on your skin in order to feel what’s going on in your body MFR works best on clean dry skin so its best if you don’t have lotions on wear layers so your able to get as undressed as much as you feel comfortable the pressure I use is very light and the pace is very slow in order for the body to stay calm + relaxed
