my new space as a movement designer

I'm beyond thrilled to share that I've got my very own space to offer my services as an occupational therapist + movement designer!!

back in the fall of 2024 I was getting back to my roots, getting licensed as an occupational therapist in the state of Michigan + dreaming of how I'd like to have my own independent practice.

just a short year later I'm pumped to be renting a small space in our little downtown of Brooklyn, MI. I share the space with three awesome women who own + operate their own businesses and I just can't explain the good vibes that are constantly swirling.

how I found the space

having the luxury of creating my own path and working from home comes with A LOT of time alone and that is not always healthy. so I started a routine, after I taught yoga on friday's I would do my computer work at Amanda's cute little cafe in town, grazing thyme.

I'd already been coming in to this location to get my facials from my esthetician friend, Brooke. that's where I also met Courtney, who owns house of fausz nails, offering nail services, all of this in the same building as the cafe.

all of these business nestled in the same building...and each time I came in I had an urge that I wanted to be a part of this...so I asked!

I asked if I could rent a corner of the building to offer express myofascial release + finally give my vintage chair a cozy home. the women welcomed me in with smiles + support and I'm so grateful for the opportunity.

vibes + flow

it was literally an overnight thing - I asked on Friday and then Saturday morning Bob and I were setting up my chair. the whole thing felt easy and fitting + it still does when I arrive in the space to work. the open concept setting enables such good connection vibes, where people are gathered talking and sharing stories.

I love how clients can get their services done and then pop over to grab a coffee or quick lunch. it's the cutest space + I'm so grateful to be a part of it ♥️
